Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I speak with someone before choosing a tier?
Unfortunately no. To preserve the focus and creative clarity of my studio, I begin all client interactions after a commission has been secured and the spot has been solidified on my schedule. This ensures my attention is devoted only to serious, aligned collaborations.

2. What if I’m not sure which tier fits my project?
Each tier is based on a combination of scope, intention, and scale.
-
Tier I is for one defined area (like a side yard or courtyard)
-
Tier II is for a full front or rear landscape
-
Tier III is for the full grounds (up to 15,000 sq ft)
If you’re still unsure, begin with the space you feel most called to transform. We’ll shape the rest from there.

3. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. At checkout, you may choose to pay in full or use a flexible monthly plan through our financing partners (Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm). We begin design once your payment is confirmed.

4. What happens after I reserve a design tier?
You’ll immediately receive:
-
A welcome email
-
An aesthetic questionnaire
-
We will schedule the on-site visit to verify dimensions and topography as well as review the primary goals for the project
-
A secure folder to upload site photos, videos, or plans
We then begin the creative process and deliver your first milestone according to the timeline listed in your tier.

5. Can I request changes after the design is delivered?
Yes. All tiers include at least one round of refinement, where we’ll make thoughtful adjustments based on your feedback—without compromising the design vision.

6. Will my design include plant names and specific materials?
Yes. Each commission includes a planting palette, material selections, and notes on intention, placement, and sourcing direction. You or your contractor may adjust species and materials based on availability, climate, or maintenance goals.

7. Can these plans be used to obtain permits?
Yes—our design packages provide a clear and professional foundation for permit submittals. However, depending on your municipality, you may need to add supplementary documents, such as site surveys, engineering details, or licensed architect stamps. Your contractor or permitting specialist can advise on what’s required in your specific jurisdiction.

8. Do you coordinate installation?
We focus solely on authored design. However, all packages include installer-ready plans and notes. You can share these directly with your landscape contractor or architect. For select clients, install consultation is available upon request.

9. Do you offer design for pools, structures, or outdoor kitchens?
We shape the entire spatial environment which includes structures like pools and outdoor kitchens as well as the surfaces, pathways, planting, and tone. If you already have a pool or studio planned, we’ll integrate it with clarity.

10. Can I use this design for multiple properties or future phases?
Each design commission is specific to one property, one moment. We do not license or transfer designs. If you’re interested in designing another property or future phase, we welcome a second commission.

11. How long is my design valid for?
We recommend installation within 12–18 months of delivery. After that, site conditions, sourcing availability, or microclimates may shift. You’re always welcome to return for an update as a returning client.
