A complete, immersive reimagination of one primary garden zone—front or rear—grounded in tonal clarity and spatial rhythm. This commission is for clients ready to shape the character of their property through restrained, authored design.
1. Aesthetic Direction & Spatial Intent
We begin with a detailed intake process—guided questions that help us understand the qualities you want the space to evoke:
Should the space feel cool and structured, or wild and sun-washed?
Is it primarily a gathering zone, a sanctuary, or a circulation space?
What kind of seasonal moments matter to you?
Do you imagine stone underfoot, gravel, or planting that blurs the line?
We translate your answers into a custom aesthetic framework—not a “style,” but a spatial tone that influences layout, contrast, and plant movement.
2. Master Layout Plan (2D) x3
Three different options are created based on the design brief with different configurations, aesthetics, and feel. The three options will be priced out on a sliding scale of basic, standard, and premium given the project budget and scope.
A fully scaled plan showing:
Hardscape layout – terraces, pathways, walls, steps, transitions
Planting zones – layered for height, density, and seasonal interest
Functional overlays – privacy, sun/wind orientation, edge conditions
Optional: integration of pre-existing features or architectural context
This becomes your foundational guide for installation.
3. Planting & Material Palette
A rich, image-based board with supporting notes:
Material direction (stone, gravel, wood, corten, concrete, etc.)
Primary and supporting plant list, grouped by texture, form, and light
Focused on 8–12 key plant varieties per design, selected for tone, adaptability, and clarity
Notes include spacing, contrast intent, maintenance level, and seasonal timing
4. Lighting Schematic
An installer-ready lighting layout that defines:
Fixture types (step lights, uplights, bollards, wall washes)
Placement strategy (balance of function and mood)
Lighting temperature and spread intent
Suggested zones for switching and control logic
This document can be handed directly to your lighting contractor.
5. Irrigation Schematic
A site-based plan showing:
Zones by planting type (low, moderate, high water needs)
Lateral line routing and suggested valve groupings
Placement notes for drip lines, bubblers, and subsurface components
Based on plant massing—not an engineer’s diagram, but a highly useful builder’s guide
6. 3D Atmospheric Visualization (for one option in particular)
Eight rendered perspectives showing key views:
A primary entry or threshold
A garden corner or focal edge
A perspective across surface and planting contrast, etc
These are not sterile architectural renders—they’re mood-oriented: shadow, density, texture, and tone are emphasized to create a realistic feel for the space.
7. One Round of Thoughtful Revisions
After initial delivery, you’ll have one revision window to refine layout, planting, or material shifts. We offer written commentary and visual updates to reflect your input, without compromising the original spatial thesis.
8. Final Deliverables Package (PDF)
Delivered as a comprehensive, high-resolution package:
2D master plan
Material and planting palette
